I've noticed several comments from women along the lines of 'sure, men are expected to provide the quantifiable stuff, but we provide things that are unquantifiable!!!'. I have 2 responses to this -

1. How do I know if I'm receiving a thing, if that thing is unquantifiable? Personally, I think 'Love' is generated internally more often than not...

2. Men would be more amenable to divorce if everyone got to keep what they were providing to the relationship - women get to keep all of the unquantifiable stuff they were providing, and men get to keep all the quantifiable stuff they were providing. How about it, ladies - I mean, they're both equally valuable, right? Right?

It was an eye opener when I realized some of the women wanting to hook up/date/ come back was for a place to live. Some others just wanted to hook up because they found me more attractive than the guy they were dating but lied about being single. Hobosexuals and users.

I recently talked up a women I saw a future with until I dug deep into her psyche. She wants to marry but have her husband pay 80% of everything. I told her that's not marriage. You are one. It sounded like she wants the financial benefits of marriage only. It's sad.
