The Carhartt Force shirts have been entirely redesigned, with perforated side panels, a new fabric, updates pocket and seams. This is more of a refresh of an old favorite rather than an entirely new design, but I have to ask- was it really necessary?

BEST OF THE BEST (affiliate links):

Reviews of clothing, boots, and accessories for men, along with style advice and life philosophy. I've been working with my hands for my entire life as a mechanic, tow truck driver, and eventually a licensed electrician. Being a blue collar guy, I look for certain elements in a product: is it durable? Is it high-quality? Will it perform well over its service life? Whether boots, pants, jackets, or tools I believe it's best to buy once and cry once by getting the best you can afford. With so many options these days, choosing the best product can become a difficult decision, but that's where I come in. Helping you stay stylish, rugged, and handsome.
I don't care where it's made as long as it's made well and allows you to buy fewer, better things.

Definitely interested in those women’s tees. The scoop is definitely a benefit!

Thanks for the video. Love the fit and length of this shirt. Being tall guy the shirt fells great! It’s a big deal when a shirt fits well so I ended buying every color within a couple of days. The only downfall to this shirt is the collar. After a days work outside or just sleeping in it the collar turns flimsy and lose they way you’d imagine a cheap shirt would do. It was a big let down. I didn’t think I’d have to search for a shirt that would fit and look good anymore.

I just stopped by Carhartt today, I buy a new force Tee about every quarter. I was livid when I saw the redesign. I pretty much only wear force tees and now I don't like them anymore. :(

Currently wear all carhartt force t’s while working containment. 100+ degrees and wearing under protective coveralls that are pretty much non breathable plastic bag. How would you compare to 1620 Cordura t shirts ?

The pen pocket ended up being more of a Hassle for me. I need to need to put my phone in that pocket and no longer can due to the pocket change.

It seems to me Carhartt made their name selling basic workwear that was built exceptionally well. It seems like everyone is trying to throw "tech" at things that aren't broken. I have probably a half dozen of their plain old shirts that have lasted me through the years. I just want more of those.

How is it for snag resistance? Thats the only thing that prevents me from grabbing a few of these as in my experience with polyester/ polycotton blend tees is the second you snag it on something you get a massive run all down the shirt

Don't feel bad Carl. They changed the K87 as well after years and years of these being my daily work shirt (I have a ton of colors) they changed the sizing. No more original fit. Only relaxed or loose and neither in my opinion fit like the Orignal fit.

Do you know which shirts are similar to carhartt original fit

Duluth Trading also offers a version of their long tail shirt called cool max. It is exceptionally nice for the humid months, it just doesn't have the athletic fit like the Carhartt Force, still has the box fit like the long tail tee but really shouldn't bother anyone that wears them for work like myself. Just another option to look at. I have been patiently waiting for some of my Duluth Trading shirts to wear out so I can try the Carhartt Force tees because they look like an amazing fit.

How are the shoulder seams that go over the collar bone in regards to fall protection?
Spending 10 plus hours a day in a bucket harness and having a seam rub into your collar bones is a concern in a base layer

Hey man! Thanks for this video.
Currently our company’s tS are all the old force Ts, they are so old and coming to the end and looking tatty. So was a bit dubious about the new style if they would still have the great fit and longevity. After seeing this I’m going to upgrade to the new force Ts . X

The old ones lasted so much longer and were way more comfortable to me

Old style was superior in my opinion. Way more durable and higher quality fabric. I have been buying used old force t’s on eBay. 3 of the new ones I ordered had bad stitching on sleeve causing cuff to unravel and that was on an order of 5 shirts. Also the neck gets stretched out after a days work. These new ones a more prone to getting holes also.

Do the new force tees sorta have that scooped hem as well or no?

Love Carhartt although I’m not aloud to wear the force shirt since it isn’t 100% cotton. Wish I could because they look crazy comfortable!

Personally I found the new force t shirt better in every way for what I like in a shirt. I like the cut more and I feel it looks more like a normal shirt and it feels less snug. I love them!!

Have you noticed the the regular tee shirt, guess it’s called the 87, seems like the material doesn’t seem as durable as in the past. I still have some that are over ten years old. Don’t think these new ones will last as long.
