THIS IS FOR ANYONE WHO WANTS TO KNOW WHY TF NATURE WOULD MAKE THESE SNAKES SO BIG.
I just want to explain smth rq. I own 10 non venomous snakes, one of them being a boa constrictor. You might notice that constrictors, including pythons, tend to be significantly larger than venomous snakes, excluding smaller constrictors like ball pythons (ehich I have) and larger venomous snakes like king cobras. The titanoboa was of auch massive size and stature simply because the time it lived in, which included a plethora of other large beast, permitted this massive snake to be, well, massive, to have a fighting chance. If this snake were just a regular 20 foot constrictor it would likely not live as long and be much more susceptible to predators. The titanoboa had no real predators because of its size, making it an apex predator, similar to the megladon. So, if you made it this far and found this helpful, I am happy to help.
