Ahh, I found the black dye video 😀
It looks quite straigtforward. For my case I guess it would be red dye, but it might be tricky to figure out how much to actually add. Does cement keep overnight if you keep it airtight? Like put tinfoil over the surface of the cement in a bucket so air can’t get to it. I could mix some with some red, make a test piece and wait for it to dry, see what the colour match is like, add more dye to mix as necessary if it’s not red enough and try again? I’m guessing the mix won’t keep 🙂

After 20 years a small amount of white is bleeding through the black mortar but only by 2 bricks. Is there a way to clean the white stuff off? Thanks

Good to know you can dye the mortar. Now just need to find the type of sand you'd use here with the cement to bed down a ridge tile and what would be a good ratio...3:1 I'm guessing. Plasticiser needed? Total novice here just trying to repair some roof damage.
