This is only work I think when all the images saved are the same sizes what about different sizes loaded images but only change the image canvas size for example i have 48in x 120in image and i want to add the canvas size width and height to 3? If you have solution please let me know

Can I resize images onto a white background in batches without manually changing every image one at a time? My images of books and magazines are all cropped rectangular which means on a website they are not all the same size because the shorter width makes some of them longer than others. They all need to be on a square background to be displayed the same size. I have 9000 images. Too many to do manually. Anyone got any ideas how to do this in bulk?

I've been using PS forever...I'm a commercial photographer since 2000. I know enough PS to get by but sometimes I do something on my own in the studio and I usually have forgotten something like re-size because I don't do it often. Your explanation was just what I needed to remind me how to do this. Thank you for taking the time to show us the steps.
