Oh, my. We moved to Marietta in 1963, when I was 10. That's where I grew up. Back in those days, there couldn't have been a better place.

I enjoy seeing areas through the windshield Larry! Feels like I’m there. Beautiful scenery, and trees are great fall colours. Thanks for the history lesson of Marietta and the tour!
Stay safe and have a great weekend!!!

Hi Larry, nice video. I like seeing historical towns. Everything looked very colorful with the trees. You will have to visit the hotel one day and pick out a good haunted room.

In the beginning Tacoma was saying let’s get this show on the road! So many historical markers across the country don’t have anywhere to park to go read them. At least that’s been my experience. Your walking tour was interesting with all the information you found along the way. Nice historical town. Early on in your video there was a tall, thin building which I thought was really cool. That was a nice “you are here” marker by the river walk. I enjoyed the walk through the Mound Cemetery as well LLL. Great video LLL, thank you for sharing your visit! 👍🏼🤗🍂🍁

WOW, I visited Marietta many, times growing up. Never knew there was a mound there. Thank you for this informative video. We visited the museum on the corner of 2nd Street, the fair grounds the other way, and the Paddle Boat down in the river, but missed many other places of interest. Our trips to Marietta were to visit family in Marietta and down the highway in Constitution, Ohio. Thank you again for showing me things I missed seeing all those years ago.

Made a trip to a marbles showin 2003 with a friend in Parkersburg West Virginia. We drove exploring the countryside and wound up in Marietta Ohio. Had a great day hitting antique shops. At that time had a Steamboat Paddlewheeler docked on river downtown. I didn't realize its historic significance...

Possibly the dirt for the mound came from the moat.

Once you crossed the bridge you were on what we call the west side or harmar village. (Its still Marietta) it's pronounced Harmer too lol

The Henry Fearing house was built in 1847 not 1947.

It's not the dogs fault. It's the horrible dog owners.
