Perspolis is STUNNING. even the remainings are huge and magnificent let alone the original. I've visited perspolis last summer and I was speechless.

I'm Iranian and have seen some of these ruins up close. I have to say, I've always had a strange obsession with Ctesiphon. The arch truly makes you feel small and unimportant. And that is only the ruins. The original building must have been such a sight. I also have felt this towards certain gothic architecture of churches during the middle ages. It's like a monument to the unimportance of mankind. And yet we were the ones who built it.

I've always been so in love with history. It gives me goosebumps to think about how the ancient people once lived in such a beautiful world. Thoroughly recommend visiting Ephesus it has some of the most intact ruins in the world. It truly feels like going back in time and the views of the surrounding countryside are amazing.
