Will the black widows escape the Venus fly traps? #shorts

The video is of dionaea muscipula or more commonly known as Venus fly traps eating spiders. But not just any spider. Venomous black widows! All of the plants are from my personal collection of exotic carnivorous house plants. The Venus fly traps are triggered to close once its trigger hairs are touched by its prey. Once triggered the traps will close surprisingly tight on its prey. Once it is closed the trap will make a very tight seal wich is possible from its strong grip. Once closed the trap will start to produce digestive enzymes that will break down the prey into a nutrient filled liquid. After being turned into a nutrient rich liquid, the liquid is then absorbed into the leaf. The reason the dionaea muscipula is capable of converting prey into nutrients is because they have evolved to live in highly hostile plant environments. They are typically found in nutrentless water filled bogs or swamps. So the plant has found a way to survive in the hostile environment by getting its nutrients in the very unconventional way that a plant would normally get its nutrients. Times will vary on how long a trap will stay closed and digest prey. I have had them open back up after 5 days and as long as 6-7 weeks. A trap will typically eat 4 or 5 insects before turning black withering away and a new leaf and trap growing in its place. The Venus fly trap is a very hearty plant. I have had them in 115 degree summers and 4 feet of snow in winter in northern California. They have not only survived both extremes but thrived with the radical swings in overall temperatures. While there are many many different types of carnivorous plant, I would say that the Venus fly trap is the most commonly known plant in the carnivorous plants kingdom. I would suggest for any novice that is interested in these plants to go for it and grow them. They are very rewarding ad a house plant. They are also highly efficient at catching prey from the nectar they produce that attracts prey. They can be grown in a very sunny windowsill. In a greenhouse, or even right in the direct sunlight. Just a couple tips for growing them. They need nutrientless grow medium. I personally use sphagnum moss mixed with perlite. The reason I like the sphagnum moss is mainly because it has antifungal and anti bacterial properties that keep the root zone rather clean. The second piece of knowledge that you need to know is the water. You should only use rain water R.O. water or distilled water. Because the plants are adapted to get nutrients through its traps, it gave the plants very sensitive roots since they have no need to take up food for the plant. Any dissolved solids will plug your plants roots and ultimately kill it over a continued period of time. And last thing to know is LOTS OF SUN. They love sun and contrary to belief they are not sensitive plants. Last little tip. They love humidity. Hope you guys enjoyed the compilation of the plants eating black widows and hope you guys found a tip or two in here. Happy growing!! THANK YOU FOR WATCHING!!!
