“We got rhythm, we got pride
We birth kings, we birth tribes.
Holy river, holy tongue
Speak the glory, feel the Love.”
We call her QUEEN for a reason 🙌🏾

I'll be honest with y'all... there are times that I look at myself in the mirror, I stare directly into the pupils of my dark brown eyes, I analyze my entire face, I look up at my natural hair, then I step back and I analyze my whole body, I take all of me in. Then I start to cry cause I feel so blessed that my soul descended down into the womb of a Black Woman, my mother, I feel so blessed that I was born into this world as a Black Woman. I'm Black and I'm a Woman, that's a blessing on top of a blessing right there! I'm so happy to be Original! I'm so happy I was born with a rich Soul! Thank God indeed!!!

This song is more than the beat. She's spitting spiritual gems of our ancestors. Religion existed in Africa before the colonizers came. As a proud African. I am glad she excavated her ancestors' history & going back to her roots. DOPE!!

I'm 59 and this song blew me away. No lazy songwriting here, her lyrics have more content in them than some books I've read! All hail Queen Bey xxx

Dear Queen,
I am 64 years old and a child of Obatala and I've been watching you for many years. I've never commented before, but I want you to know that this track is everything!!! I play it for my Orishas and my ancestors’ shrine daily and even sent the link to my Baba in Ibadan and he absolutely loves it. I hope to be crowned soon; I'm looking forward to becoming a kick *** ancestor when it's time for me to go to Orun.
Modupe Iya Beyoncé. As`e, As`e, As`e O!!!

For those saying this is gibberish, research the Yoruba language & culture. Oshun & Yemaja are not Devil's, please be respectful & educate yourself before you ignorantly jump to assumptions.

I have literally watched Beyonce go from Bootylicious Singer Child to Black Cultural Icon. This has been a beautiful transformation.
