Lyrics:
IF THE STORM COMES
IF WE BURN UP
IF THE WELLS RUN DRY
YOU’RE MY REASON
TO BELIEVE IN
ANOTHER LIFE

IF IT ALL ENDS
AND IT’S OVER
IF THE SKY FALLS FIRE
BEST BELIEVE ME
YOU WILL SEE ME
ON THE OTHER SIDE

IF WE WAKE UP
LOSE OUR PATIENCE
OR EVEN LOSE OUR LIVES
I’LL FEEL LUCKY
TO SAY THAT YOU’VE BEEN
A FRIEND OF MINE

BEST BELIEVE ME
YOU WILL SEE ME
ON THE OTHER SIDE

SO KALE SO OKALE SOKALE WA
WOAH WAO
WA WONU OKAN MI LO
OLUWA

I never really got to know what it felt like to be alive at the same time with Michael Jackson but I'm glad this generation has Beyonce. She's a gem. A true legend.

When my mom was very sick in the intensive care, my brother whispered to her ear, do not worry, we will meet in the after life. She shaked my hand then squeezed it strongly and I was just crying. In the next afternoon she passed away peacefully. This song made me remember that moment.

Beyoncé speaks to me in this video, because I placed my baby daughter up for adoption. Life was just too crazy around us and it wasn’t healthy or safe. With that baby girl, I broke a vicious cycle in my family: I chose better for her despite the judgment and aching pain of the adoption decision. She will prosper and I will be honored that she was born to me. We will meet on the other side 😌

No one is touching Beyonce and that's a fact. This album is so well curated. She studied!!!

The fact people don't talk enough about the low notes in this song shows how underrated Beyoncé is as a vocalist.

So kale ( Come down)
So kale ( Come down)
Wa wo inu okan mi lo ( come down straight into my heart)
Oluwa Sokale ( God come down)

That’s the translation of the chorus verse which is in YORUBA language and a great SWAHILI at the end

Beyoncé is truly the queen of art ❤️❤️❤️

I'm not even African but the Swahili always makes me cry. Bey goes from power to power and this is up there. Art, a masterpiece 🙏🏽

I lost my oldest son at 17 years old this year to cancer. My soul really really needed this. Thank you so much Beyoncé.

You have no idea how powerful this song is for moms like myself who’ve lost their son’s or daughter’s tragically. It gives them/me/us hope. This is beyond beautiful. Thank you.

This had me in tears! I saw so much symbolism. Wow. The baby being sent away...I can't imagine having to send my baby down a river, and how much FAITH that must have taken. This is SOOO beautiful. It made me feel for people in other countries who are facing wars and the rumors of wars. This is just so powerful! Excellent job Beyoncé!

The "katika mawingu mababu" part gives me major chills every time I listen to this song. African languages are so beautiful, Beyoncé's voice is so beautiful and soulful, and the way she shows off her vocal range by going from low to high produces such a stunning effect. Epic and *beautiful.* Whenever this part comes on, I drop everything I've been doing, and just listen… and feel the chills.
This album just keeps growing on me, I can't stop listening to it, and I can't stop dancing to it, even when I'm in a grocery store lol. God bless Beyoncé and her crew for creating this glorious music.

Beautiful imagery, words and song!! This reminds me of the biblical story of Moses...his mother saved him from death by doing the same, placing him in a basket. He was found and adopted by the Pharaoh's daughter and ended up being nursed by his own mother (thanks to his sister watching the basket go down the river)...and he ended up saving them all. Inspired by this art.

I love when She says : To God We Belong and To God We return. Amen 🙏

My revaluation : She’s talking about the miscarriage she had using the visual of Moses and the Nile River. It represents God wanting to take him/her home and her seeing the baby on the other side is in heaven or the after life. The sandstorm and chaos represented the amount of rumors surrounding the pregnancy. The blessing came back which was Blue Ivy
