The PC probably isn't really fixed, it's just got something intermittent (bad connection on the motherboard that sometimes works, for example) that's going to reoccur again sooner or later.

Still take your main PC to the repair shop. They can run a check to see if your boot drive has some errors which cause it to forget how to start up.

I had that happen the other day just because apparently my motherboard series is KNOWN for doing this - I kept the original flash drive with the OS on it to boot to, and whenever my computer reboots, I boot it off of that. Otherwise, it flat out doesn't boot.

But wow, I am VERY sorry to hear about the loss. Really hoping it doesn't happen again!

The thing is, when a pc starts "forgetting" it's boot drive it usually a sign that the SSD/HDD is going out. My advice for you Rin is, to move all your important stuff to the laptop in case the drive dies. You don't wanna lose all your Vr and Idol related stuff.

Make sure you update that laptop regularly. You want it ready to go the next time things fall apart. Make sure it can record videos a few times a year, just to make sure it is working. Trust me, when the backup fails unexpectedly, things get so much worse.

I just keep my laptop in the basement, but off the floor enough to have no risk of water damage, to be disaster proof it a bit.

And it's good for travel, and could even be used as an extra monitor. And silly 'multuplayer" stuff.
