Superman coming from Krypton reminds me of Moses. I appreciate Stan and Jack paving the way to creating diverse characters.

I’m disappointed they didn’t talk about Sabra, the only Israeli superhero

I did not know so many Jews were important/pivotal figures in early comics

Amazing that Wonder Woman can accomplish all she does with such flowing hair that is never mussed, and perfect makeup. Even her lipstick doesn’t wear off.

I didn't know Chris Claremont was Jewish. Obviously with the first name Chris it's hard to judge. But apparently he lived on a kibbutz until he was three!

In your face, Hitler. The Jews gave us Spider-Man and Superman, and also Warner Bros. and Universal. Let that sink in.

Great video!

I remember Ben Shapiro nitpicking about why black people were excited when the Black Panther movie came out; he complained that there were no Jewish superheroes. If only he knew…

It fascinates me how so many people claim to hate or despise us, yet they they have no appreciation for what we’ve contributed on so many platforms.
I in no way mean this to appear arrogant or contrite, that is not my thinking. Moreover how much we ALL benefit from collaborating together rather than squabbling over our differences (another concept to be celebrated).

I suspect this world would look very different in quite a negative way had some of those maniacal campaigns throughout history had have succeeded in excising us from existence.

I wish the haters could respect that, not for preferential treatment or reverence just equal respect and inclusion.

Martin Goodman, Stan Lee and Jack Kirby are Jewish comic book writers. Who wrote the most wonderful comic books like Spider-Man, Iron Man, Black Panther and Captain America. Also Falcon and Winter soldier and Guardians of the Galaxy and Thor. Even Blade and X-men and fantastic four and Hulk and Doctor Strange and Avengers and also Captain Marvel. Even other comics as well.

Bob Kane and Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster and more who wrote DC characters as well like Superman, Batman, Flash and Green Lantern and others as well. Except for Wonder Woman he was created by non-Jewish American man named Charles Moulton

I would like to see the sitcom or movies that were written or directed by Jewish people. I came to know that my favourite show the Big Bang theory mostly consists of Jewish people.

I like what you are doing! There is no better example of the immigrant experience than Superman.

So how and why did it evolve to including lgbt characters and more racial diversity? It wasn't there until culture shifted and it went with it, not the other way around. Not to completely dismiss the notion though, ethical issues are most certainly something that will have been influential, but there's also the glorification of violence, vigilantism etc which is probably the biggest influence as can be seen everyday in America. Bravo.

And this is how from childhood and with subliminal messages in comics we are subtly influenced to see only one side of the coin in terms of history.
