The fact that you've read Gideon the Ninth TWICE before reading Harrow the Ninth is honestly a really good plan. If I were you I would read and THEN listen to Harrow the Ninth because if you found yourself lost or confused at all in GtN... whew man, hold tight to your seat. HtN is the wildest ride in the world and INCREDIBLE. You HAVE to keep us updated when you start it!

I LOVE The long way to a small, angry planet. I describe it as The Office in space. It's so cozy and I love all the characters.

If you like space opera and a mix of sci fi and fantasy I couldn't recommend Empire of Silence enough. It's the first book in the Sun Eater series and the books get more epic from there.

I absolutely loved Sea of Tranquility. I just read it recently actually. I need to read more by Emily St. John Mandel now, I'm hooked. Just added Rosewater and Light from Uncommon Stars to my to be read list. They both sound wonderful ☺

I feel like I am missing something with Gideon. I found the writing style confusing when I read it. Maybe I will try listening to it and see if I follow it better that way.

I dont really read a lot of sci-fi, but my favorite would b middle game, that book is fucking insane. I’d also say Gideon the ninth as well bc I recently finished it and LOVED it

I read Leviathan Wakes in April and while i didn't dislike it, i would rather watch this type of story as a movie or TV show. It was a little too plot driven for me and i felt like they wanted to put too much in one book. Are those things still there in the rest of the series or should i just give up on the series as a whole?
