04:27 Switching Endings
05:09 Adding the Ending
05:46 Dropping off the End
06:45 Nuance

There is something about Welsh plurals that makes them seem like they just fit, which is great because it could be overwhelming otherwise. :) The singulative is really special too; it’s a feature I like a lot.

Another wonderful lesson, Ben. Only you could make plurals so poetic! I just ordered the book from World of Books. I got the last copy they had! I'll be rewatching this video over and over - just for fun. I absolutely love Welsh grammar. Diolch eto.

I really like ‘Miloedd o bunoedd’ as well as being appealing to be able to see, hold and own such a quantity, the words are majestic.

Welsh does indeed seem to be a whole separate world of exploration and mystery, as Tolkien also thought

I am reminded of Nigella Lawson talking about chocolate by the way you speak of language

Tamil also doesn't feel the need to put things into a plural form after numbers, or words that clearly show plural quantity.

Have you tried the Colloquial Welsh course? I was disappointed. Quite a few errors or strange exercises. If you did what's your opinion on the course?

Very similar to romanian in that it also has different forms for plurals, in either endings or even in the middle of the words.
Sing plural eng.
Drum Drumuri way.
Băț Bețe stick.
Om Oameni man.
Baltă Bălți pond.
But the plural within a plural as you mentioned in welsh its very interesting indeed. I never heard of that.

Ha! You're guy who told me "the Welsh language is easy". And it's not true! It's not true! Three times of sound mutation, prepositions that decline, verbs that have different forms for positive statements, negatives and questions, and now why can't I make my plurals by just bunging an 's' on the end and that's enough?

No matter, I'm hooked now. And there's so much nice material around for learning with like this or Welsh Trainer that you recommended m on the other channel, or I've just come across the Welsh With Us people. Anyway, everything comes with time, thanks for this.
