Kmart $20 Bluetooth speaker: Review, tear-down and modification.

This speaker is only $AU20 so, unsurprisingly, it's nothing special to hear. It was good fun to take apart though and I think that shortening its overall length made a just a bit more ...cute.

Well I went to Kmart in New Zealand and picked up one of their larger ones. And I was really careful but the handle pulled straight out. I was a bit concerned but one shopkeepers said don't worry about it they're really cheap. Lol

I'd change the speaker driver. Those universal amp boards are common in a lot of Chinese MP3/Bluetooth boomboxes. It actually doesn't sound half bad with a speaker I used out of a samsung ipod dock.
