I’ve never once heard someone say “oh yes, this new technology is going to make our jobs extinct”…until it happens 🤣. Could be years away or decades away or never though.

I’ll just use AI and use the prompt, “answer the question while utilizing The Money Guy Show financial order of operations.”

I completely agree with you gentlemen. AI is going to be a great tool for your profession, while providing the bare bones basics to people just starting out that may need some simple guidance.

GPT4 is vastly superior to 3.5. If you simply input a google style keyword search question you pretty much just get a dictionary answer. However if you type in as much detailed context as possible—“you are a CPA expert and I am a client asking you financial advice”, and then next begin engaging with GPT4 conversation style the answers can be dramatic. It’s quite eerie.

Try this prompt followed by the second. Amazing and fun to read through:

act as an expert financial planner. I’m 32 and would love to retire at 40. Can you follow “the money guys” financial order of operations and give me detailed advice on how to get there. Like a real planner, ask me a few quick, easy to answer questions first to get additional context and detail you need to make me a plan.

Second prompt after answering the questions to coach a better response:

Be much more specific on the numbers at each step to ensure I could retire by 40 with an annual retirement income of $120K per year. Focus on the math and give me a detailed numbers breakdown.

after that, weave the FOO into a hilarious and engaging story to help me remember it.

Yes, easily. Especially when it’s able to understand complex tax laws in real time, provide you with personalized information and calculate your plan and safe withdrawal amounts. For a 0% AUM fee ❤️❤️

The problem with artificial intelligence is training. It can and will repeatedly make false statements. That's before getting into nuance and detail. Sure that will all improve in the future but what quasi false assumptions has it learned along the way?
