they are taking the best of the z3 stuff and putting it in to the A custom line, so they are discontinuing the line but you will still be able to get some, just with a different name

Thanks for the reply, if you guys are changing the hammering, lathing and finish to fit the Avedis line how will this end up being the same sound? I am assuming there will be changes.

I really can't believe you guys are going to stop making Z3's these cymbals are ground breaking in expressiveness even at super low volumes. Not everything needs to sound sweet in my opinion. What makes the Z3's special that touch of dryness when played at low volumes. The bell sounds are also very mysterious sounding.

How are they gonna do that when almost everyone of their heavy music artists use Z3? Zildjian needs to get it together. They better not discontinue the line, and make a another line, based off of Z customs and Z3's. Then it would be a repeat of what happened when Z3 came out.

I like zildjian and paiste, but I have to agree that the paiste video is much more informative. No disrespect to Russ - he's a badass.

There is not better cymbal company. All major cymbal companies make awesome cymbals worth having. No point in being a ignorant biased person.

Zildjian doesn't need Sabian-style demo vids. They're just better cymbals. So what if a couple of big names went by the wayside, that's only because Zildjian wasn't going to kiss ass and build whiny prog drummers their own lucrative cymbal line.
