I needed a USB hub to connect my flight sim peripherals to (yoke, switch/light panel, throttle/prop/mixture panel, and radio panel). I wanted a hub that would also double as a SD card reader input for my video editing and the occasional hard drive. The Atolla Powered USB 3 0 Hub does all this and more with it also having smart charging ports for phones, action cameras (GoPro), and other things like USB power banks. It is the best USB hub that I have used to this point in my life and I recommend looking into it if you're looking for a USB hub.

your review is not clear enough.
 i just bought this atolla 10 ports (3 charging port).
i plugged in 2 WD MYBOOK (powered) into blue port, running ok.

 but when i plugged my Toshiba 1TB portable hdd (not powered): it just simply making noise, the indication light is blue instead of white (which means not enough juice).

 when i plugged the same HDD into charging ports of atolla, it shows white light (good), but my win7 just can't detect the hdd..

when i plugged the same hdd into my laptop, it runs perfect.. this shows atolla is lousy.. can't even be use on a portable 1TB hdd..

 
i returned to amazon.
