This was a great scene. To the doctor, this is probably the greatest insult he has ever heard. But for the dalek, this is sincerely and genuinely the greatest, truest compliment it could ever give.

One of my favourite scenes EVER in Doctor Who. Eccleston's acting is just awesome

9 is so underrated. Eccleston is so good at acting and I just loved Season 1

The Dalek was like “that’s the spirit, doctor!”

Probably the worst thing he’s ever been called, but also the greatest compliment you could ever get from a Dalek

You know you fucked up when The Doctor tells you to die.

That was probably the biggest insult ever thrown to the Doctor

It's a one thing to be insulted by your enemy but it's another thing to be complimented by your enemy

From this to “I am not a good Dalek. YOU are a good Dalek”

Talk about a DDPLGTWSD (Dalek-driven post-Last Great Time War stressed Doctor)…

Christopher Eccleston has said recently that he would return to the role as long as it wasn't a multi Doctor story.
I think we should give him that, don't you?
Maybe even a whole season?

I love how some people forget that Rusty says the same thing to Capaldi in a manor of words.

Literally got chills at this scene, I was 6 when I first saw it and it’s the first time I questioned the doctors moral standing

How many times has a dalek called the Doctor a dalek?

Knowing what Chris was going through at the time, watching his father be so ill and slowly losing him to dementia, he changed all his anger at the dalek and made several of the best scenes in the entirety of Doctor who. Working class hero, a true inspiration.

That would be the equivalent of a German soldier telling that to a Soviet during WW2.
