This remarkable find brought closure to the families of 80 crew members lost at sea. The discovery was made possible by a translation error correction, leading to a search 100 miles from the previously assumed location. As a member of the Silent service during the Viet Nam war I served on three subs, SS Cusk, SS Bluegill and SS Sea Lion, I salute these great submariners.

My late father served on submarines as a fire control technician during WWII (Pacific theatre) and the Korean conflict. I remember him talking about serving on the Perch and the Remora, if I am remembering correctly. He was career Navy (20 yrs). Fortunately he survived and was not on any of the lost subs. Very interesting video.

Being a advocate for fellow veterans! The biggest crime of the century is the Veterans affairs taking over 5 years to pay for service connected injuries! I have been working for 58 years to get my service connected permanent disability injury! And to this moment it still hasn't been paid, it was filed again in 2018. Now it in determination and its been there for 5 years. I was told to be patient by va employee! 58 years isn't patient?

In the early to mid 60s my father was stationed in the office of the admiral of the Pacific fleet. I became the harbors newspaper boy. One of my favorite spots to work was the sub base. It was right next to the Admirals stadium. Where I helped my friend Barney as bat boy. But I was amazed with the submarines and the men that maned them. The submariners would teach me under water and ocean survival at the sub base pool and escape tank. I watched many movies aboard subs in the torpedo room. I would sit on torpedo's with a leg on either side and thy would bring me a five gallon jug of ice cream. And would tell me stories about life at sea. Some of the sailors were WW2 veterans. When I delivered papers to the Marine barracks on base. I would go to the Maines pool and teach marines survival skills for 50 cents. and how to swim for a dollar. I was thrilled to be ten years old. And instructing Marines ocean survival.

I'm shocked! I thought human remains didn't hold up for more than a few decades. Otherwise, why were there no remains of those lost on the Titanic and other similar tragedies? RIP Brave Souls...

Only declassified materials get posted on any platform from our nation. Not even nato or otherwise should be allowed entry beyond the premier established by UNITED STATES of AMERICA military personnel.

So where's the horror in this?? the click bait is strong with this channel.

Why would someone publish skeletal remains within the boat? Show the hole that killed the sub, but don't get too detailed. The descendants don't need to see that. Also, why would you scream in horror? What would you expect?

Should have gotten to point instead of all dramatic crap

Don't use nuclear submarines. Use only WWII vintage photos for crying out line.
