3 Reasons Why I'm Returning the 2020 iPad Pro

I really wanted to love the iPad Pro 2020. I really wanted to upgrade. But after trying it out for a little bit upgrading my 2018 iPad Pro to the 2020 iPad Pro doesn't seem like a good move. Here are 3 reasons why I'm sticking with the iPad Pro 2018.

I got one from the iPad Pro 10.5 inch and it is so amazing. I'm a digital artist and it was 110% worth it. Had it for about three weeks now.

I'm still amazed at my iPad air 1 that came out 7 years ago. Apple decided to update it once again, so I'm taking full advantage.

The “problem” with the 2018 IPad Pro is that Apple nailed that one. I’ve been a user since the ipad first came out and was trying to make it as my computer even back in 2009, and with the 2018 I was like: Yeah. This is it. I don’t need anything else from my iPad. I mean, I would love fcpx and a full screen when u plug it in to a monitor and more usbc on the body itself so I won’t have to pay 350$ for a new keyboard, but that’s about it. It’s still as fast and as good - if not better - then it was when I bought it 2 years ago. Apple made a great product in 2018. Horray for then and for us the consumers that we got exactly what we paid for, and wouldn’t need to upgrade in the near future.

I have an old iPad. Its like 6 years old and I’m planning on getting the new iPad Pro in 2021! I hope it’s great! Great video, I can understand why you don’t want to upgrade.

I had an iPad mini that I gave to my mom late last year. It was so old that I couldn’t even get Hulu on there. My mom reset it & it stopped working completely. The 2020 iPad Pro was my second iPad & I love it from what I came from. Only slight downside is that the 11 inch model was sold out everywhere near me(& still is) so I had to get the 12.9 inch model. It was $200 more than I planned on spending but so far I’m satisfied with it.

iPad Pro 2018 and now M1 MB have both been game-changers. We did not need to upgrade our iPad Air 2 in 2018, but chose to because of the superb iPad Pro 2018. Hardware was way ahead of software back then, so, for a change, we expected to keep an iPad (2018s now - both sizes) for at least 5 years. Same situation with M1 MBA (shipping now!). Not even thinking of upgrading either for many years to come.

I totally agree. I have the 2018 iPad Pro and I see no need to upgrade at this time. I love it and probably won't upgrade until 2022.

Totally make sense! My sister had a very old iPad 2 (my first iPad, I sold it to her) and the iSO update was stopped many months ago. Last May, I sold my iPad Air 2 to her again. I now own an iPad Pro 11" and Apple Pencil. Love 'em!

I am still using the 2018 12.9 iPad Pro and use it entirely for image editing. I am hoping the 2021 is a bigger upgrade than the 2020. Thanks for the great review.
