For the unpredictability, how about randomly pop up some doable quest with a given amount of time? Like may be after player login for 8 days shows pop up like “Hidden quest: 8 is a lucky number, let’s see if you can do meditation last for 8 minutes within today and gain 100 exp?”

you know what would be insane? Make it into a community app, where you can follow people, do tasks together, post progress etc. Kinda making a social media platform that actually better your life instead of sucking it away.

For unpredictability you could use a GPT integration to randomly generate day tasks or quests based on current vision and quests etc

Super awesome. Quick tip - I know a lot of people who would give up if respawn loses everything. Getting back to level 10 or 100 or whatever might feel too far to be worth it to try again. I believe that's why the majority of games don't do this, only a handful.

I would assign a certain % experience loss and % coin loss. That would make me personally want to get back to it quickly to get again what I lost. Regaining what was lost, if quick, can be a motivator. If it feels like it'll take two months, it might feel like it's not worth it.
