In 76-77, when I was 9-10 yo, my teacher scheduled a visit for our school class to the factory where processed foods were made. She went ahead with another class to prepare our visit. The next day she told us that she cancelled our visit and if we wanted to go there, we should ask our parents to take us. I remember like it was yesterday, she said she would never go back there and never eat processed food for the rest of her life. I understood what was going on much later, and I'm amazed that this type of food still exists today.

Dr. William Li in my book is the BEST and most TRUTHFUL Doc out there! He has NO Agenda and not beholden to any Big Corp. He just shares the Science with no additional gunk....Everytime he has a new Video out, I basically end my Day/Night watching this...bcos it is ALWAYS full of IMPORTANT NUGGETS and I LOVE when he ends his Videos by saying Li OUT! ♥💙💛❤

When my daughter met her heart surgeon, a few years ago, he stated that deli sandwiches were the worst item she could eat. He said if she did one thing it should be to never eat those sandwiches. Now, due to immune issues, she definitely cannot, the risk is too high.
But his comment that day had me thinking and we have never looked back.

Thank you so much for this video you certainly know your subject and you make so much sense ! I recently bought your book 'Eat to Beat Disease' but have not read it yet. I realize now how lucky I've been because I am 77 now and before the pandemic I was existing on bags of potato chips, pizzas, milk chocolates and ice cream. For the past 3-4 years though I am eating extremely healthily. I just hope it is not too late for me and that I haven't spoken too soon ! however I am still healthy -as far as I know- and take no medications.

I used to buy root beer and my son would drink one once in a while, then he started drinking one daily so I stopped buying soda, now I buy seltzer water. I found it a good substitute for soda.

Processed deli meat also contains high levels of Tyramine which causes migraines. Tyramines is an amino acid in meat that occurs when meat breaks down with time. I would get migraines with visual aura until my doctor told me about the Tyramine connection.

Love sardines..you can find them packaged in water, so no worries about seed oils, etc..

It’s depressing. What happens when we close down subway. Sushi … all deli depts all over the world??? GMO foods everywhere ?? Now the filtered water from my Hawaiian kitchen taste bad too !! I try to make fresh food at least three times a week. Ayaaa!! Fresh corn from roadside trucks in rural Wisconsin yrs ago is a gone forever dream !! The fresh from local farms is probably sprayed with roundup as well ?? And Dr Li. Pardon my question how is your eyesights ?? Maybe you should give us your grocery list??

1. Processed meats from deli (swap for tinned seafood)

2. Candy bars (swap for organic dried fruits)

3. Convenience snacks like chips/crisps (swap for tree nuts, without flavouring)

4. Soda & diet soda (swap for trinity of non-bottled water, tea & coffee, without dairy milk best)

5. Fast food burgers (swap for fresh & healthier with polyphenols, dietary fiber etc which lowers inflammation)

Thank you Dr for sharing this information, I’m dealing with stage 4 cancer and learning a lot of the foods not to eat . Thank you to simplify why not to eat these things. And it’s very helpful to know that you can go to your food store and still get something healthy too, I like what you said about the tuna fish in the can thank you

Canned seafood is a great choice. King Oscar's Mediterranean mackerel and sardines are delicious. Walmart Supercenters stock an assortment of canned seafood. My favorites are from the King Oscar brand. Short-lived fish are smaller and have less mercury. Tuna and swordfish are large, long-lived fish that accumulate mercury by eating smaller fish for years. As for nuts, I enjoy eating raw tree nuts. Toasting or roasting nuts leads to advanced glycation end products and makes them less nutritious.

Thank you for sharing your wealth of verified/researched food info. (Where else would we get it--since most doctors either dont know it or wouldnt mention it?) I read your 1st book & have been sharing your info since the pandemic! What folks do about/with the info is their choice...but at least now they know and can choose to make infomed decisions.Keep doingwhat you do. You rock😊
