Full gas is a bad idea but so is full electric. I think cars still need an internal combustion engine even if it's tiny. But there's problems even with hybrids so realistically it's going to end up almost how it is. Just with gas powered cars being rare and expensive and not really produced. While electric will become commercial and hybrid cars will stay in the middle basically where they already are. We can only really hope for a battery breakthrough which might make electric cars more viable in regard to things like cold weather and charging/discharging rate, and of course efficiency.
