This movie does a great job at making you feel just as betrayed as Miles. The fact that his real talent is art, and he was putting it aside for the chance to see people who could've visited him the entire time.

I think the saddest part is where miguel yells, 'You're not supposed to become spiderman' and choke slams miles.
In the first movie, he was so frustrated because of his uncle's death, only at the end can he accept reality and move on.
However, when he is told the spider was never supposed to bite him, the fact that he becomes spiderman is a mistake from the beginning hits so hard, it's like his existence got denied. He's done nothing but got hated by everyone for no reason.

What makes things worse is that you can see where Gwen was coming from. She was like Miles, alone, but when she got into the society she finally felt like she belonged. No wonder she was so hesitant to leave, and why I love both her and her arc so much. She knew she was in the wrong but couldn’t handle being alone again since she thought she was too deep in lying to Miles. It’s classic liars syndrome: you want to tell them the truth but you have to double down on the lie because you feel like that’s the only way out, but it’s not.

He was READY to spend the rest of his life trying to meet them again, while he already showed interest in physics in the first movie, choosing an area so specific was because he wanted to meet them

Gwen missed Miles equally she was thinking of him the whole time. But she was in conflict and Miguel and Jess keep asking her to avoid what her gut says and they also denied Gwen from going to Miles until she has to capture the spot. Despite that she was ordered not to meet Miles but she did anyway cause she miss him so much just as much as Miles missed her.
She did break his heart sure but she was not herself when she was in the spider society. After her arc she found her true self again and went straight to saving Miles.
Miles and Gwen are endgame.❤
They are getting together in beyond the spider verse.

Miles is a smart kid and could do any job he wants besides his main hobby.

But when I was in the theaters and he said he wanted to do physics just to be able to see his friends again, I just found it sad.

They did this man dirty like nah bro the whole arachnid society told him he had to sit and let his dad die and were willing to kidnap him to do it and everyone even Peter b his mentor and Gwen the girl he’s in love with had no real issue doing that to him and still he ran everyone’s fade and got away

I really felt miles’s feeling of betrayal when he ripped gwen’s web when she tried to catch him towards the start of the chase. Just by the look in their eyes you could see gwen’s guilt, and miles’s feeling betrayed.

In the second movie I feel so bad for Miles. He was bombarded with information after information with the chaos arounds him. All that time he was trying to make sense what had happened and figure out the next step. Every Spiderman has this problem. They are the hero and all but one thing we overlooked is that outside of the suit, they are ordinary people living ordinary lives... so the fact that Miles was betrayed, then was shoved with the idea that he is the one killed the original spiderman, then with him finding out that he is an anomaly, with O'Hara calling him an outcast when he was trying to feel fit in... On top of all of it, his parents life was threatened, his universe was threatened.... Damn...
