I lost the hearing in my left ear due to a viral infection. It also destroyed the tiny bones in my ear. This also impaired my balance. I can not walk a toe to toe line.

Assuming you give the required sample at the police station, most states had a provision that you can request your own blood draw. Since you can get the results of that relatively rapidly, how do you go about doing that and then paying for your own tests. I know I can't just go in and request a medical test, though admittedly the testing they do is called compliance testing to get around the privacy and other issues of "medical" tests.

Consider requesting they take you to the ER for the blood test: faster results!

The thing is that even if you do everything correctly you still want to be screwed I plead the 5th went to jail for something I didn't do within a few months it was dropped because there was no evidence and guess who still has to report it every single time I go to get a security job. It was expunged, and they still required me to explain that crap plus I lost my security job and had to get another one once it was dropped.

why would you ever submit to these tests? they can only hurt your case.

Andrew some of going to a blood tests is hoping to catch more conviction since it tests for more. But probably more important is due to months of delay the state gets more fees while waiting on the tests. Do you agree?

In my state if you refuse the field sobriety test, it’s an automatic arrest and suspension of your license.

Keep up that idea and watch the amount of your insurance premiums increase because of litigation for this idea that this police office has.

So in the uk we have both a breathalyser test for alcohol which can be done on the road side for alcohol, but we also have drug wipe tests which can be done roadside and only takes 15 minutes in the uk. So do they not have the drug wipe test in the usa

Are you allowed to refuse a field sobriety test? And can you do that in every state?
Because the cops can lie. They can tell you that you have to do it even if you do not have to do it.
So how can we determine that in each of the individual states we are allowed to refuse such a test?
