In this first Luminar AI editing tutorial, I'll be covering quick edits.

One of the first features we'll be exploring is the suggested Luminar AI workflow, provided by the AI based on the type of photo you're working with.

I start this tutorial with an overview of the new Luminar AI templates that will apply a quick and easy one click edit.

While the templates allow for a very good starting point, you'll learn how to modify and tweak the results to suit your personal style.

In this tutorial, I also show how to add a vignette. I first show you how to add the vignette using Luminar AI's artificial intelligence, and then to modify it to your liking. Additionally, You'll learn how to offset the vignette. Something you cannot do with Lightroom.

Hello. I have been watching and enjoying your videos. Thank you. I noticed on one of your videos you used a quick key (in Luminar ai) that turned the red mask on and off. But I can now not find it. If I didn't imagine it, can you tell me if there is one and what it is please?

Ok I cheated. I did the forest image before watching this video and it took me longer than 3 minutes. No recess for me. Outstanding pace and information. The only issue I had today so far is that your raw files are big. I did not crop the forest picture and Ai crashed when I tried to save file as a jpeg. Also had issues trying to email you my edits as the file was too big. I reduced the file and was able to email it.
Your vignette use was stellar. Seeing you do it was incredible. Incredibly well done and helpful. The magical tool demonstration was also very good. I was afraid to use that tool but seeing how you liked it made me really like it too.
I promise to do the other 2 images in the 3 minute compliance. Thank you!

Good video Darlene, but you are mistaken about the radial filter in Lightroom - it can be moved anywhere in the image that you want to place it, even partly off the image.

Great First Day... really enjoyed experimenting - although I took longer than 3 minutes whilst exploring !! However, frustratingly, I can't upload my images !! They are smaller than the maximum 5MB and are in .jpeg format - any suggestions gratefully received. Thanks

I do the major processing in Lightroom and Topaz Denoise. Then I take the photo to Photolemur. If necessary, I bring the image to Luminar AI. Finally, I may further process the image in Topaz Gigapixel and Topaz Sharpening. The very last step is to do any final tweaking in Lightroom. If I just want quick processing, I move a few sliders in Lightroom and finish in Photolemur. It takes a minute.

I made it through day 1 but now I have a question. When you make changes to a template, let’s say you added mystical and you added a mask on the mystical and erased some of the effect from the sky and then you saved that as a new template, can you use that template on a completely different landscape? Will it automatically reduce the effect on the sky?

Hi Darlene, thank you for sharing. I’m about giving up on luminar AI. It’s not working for me at all. Since even the most recent update it’s actually worst. The program takes a very long time to respond to very basic editing.nI really like what this program can do but skylum is not improving the performance at all. I stopped using the program. Is there anything you can advise me to try as a last resort. I”m awfully frstrated.I own a pretty fast pc with core i7, 2.80ghz withb16 gb of ram with a 64 bit operating system. I have no issues usung lightroom as a wedding photographer. Thanks
