This is is the most underrated tutorial I have ever seen, I now wash my dishes for the whole day in 20 minutes or less. It used to take me around 1 hour. Thank you so much for making this tutorial.

Most effective thing is to clean them right after you use them. Don’t let dishes accumulate.

Unfortunately, while the soap and water help you, it is the scrubbing that does the actual cleaning. You cannot see the germs that are attached to the dishes, and that is why you need to spend more time on scrubbing them.

STEP 1:
I "organize" ALLL my dirty dishes.
Organize, meaning ALLL cups together, ALLL bowls, utensils, plates, ect, ALLL stacked nice & neat!

Step 2:
Soap up as many BIG dishes like pots and pans and then rinse ALLL of them. Repeat till ALLL of the BIG ones are done!

Step 3:
Soap up ALLL of the utensils and then rinse.

Step 4:
Soap up ALLL of the cups, plates, or bowls & rinse.

Step 5:
Soap up ALLL the wired little random things, like pacifiers, or sippy cup lids & bottle 🍼 nipples, or lids & tops to pots and pans or whatever...

P.s. Set out a big clean towel for heavy items or to keep from using the dishwasher as a drying rack or save it for only smaller dishes! I have a family of 7 and we cook almost every meal at home and we HomeSchooL, so that is 3 meals at least in a day with many dishes! I have the older ones organize the dishes, I wash they put away!

Good video, one recommendation is to soap everything before hand in one section/side of the sink then on you soap all the dishes, go ahead and rinse the dishes and the same time then extra water that is running off of the faucet helps you remove the soap off the dishes that have them.

Some constructive criticism. You're running the water for way too long and when you wash cups with water still in it you waste soap as it rinses your sponge out.

I love how husbands are the ones to tell how to wash the dishes in such an enthusiast tone and happy to do it!! 🙂

That seems more complicated. Better way is to soap everything up well and put it in the other seide of sink. Thenrinse at end. Keeping the soap on the dishes longer breaks the bond of he germs

My way:

Fill washing up bowl with soapy water whilst adding small to large stuff until almost full but still room to work

Start with washing cleanest items like glasses and cups, piling the stuff upon the side, put a tea towel underneath to catch drops if you want.

I finish with the cutlery because it always ends up at the bottom of course.

Once everything is washed pour the water out of the washing up bowl and start to fill up with hot water whilst putting the smaller items in it to rinse, and rinse larger items in the air and put on draining board.

Once large items are all rinsed just make sure all small items are getting rinsed and pour the water out and refill to rinse one last time.

This might sound complicated but it's extremely fast and doesn't use as much water as you only run the tap continuously while rinsing.

Afterwards I rinse off any soap bubbles off the plastic bowl (a "washing up bowl" in the UK is just a plastic bowl that fits as closely as possible the sink you're using....lining it effectively)

When rinsing the small stuff you're only running enough water over them to just cover them.

Most Europeans seem to wash in the air, this method is the best of both ways I think, and there's the added advantage that you can soak items for a while if they have tough debris on them.

I'll usually clean a pot with burnt on food on the worktop with a cloth or tea towel underneath so as not to damage the surface.

I also usually rinse off the worst of the mess briefly before I wash all the dishes so the water is cleaner, but that's just me, because I think you'll need less washing up liquid (dish soap).

I followed your instructions and I literally did the dishes in 18 minutes. This is the most helpful video. This is probably a record for me so thanks. BTW you're wasting water but I always waste water so I shouldn't be complaining.

This seems extremely useful, but if I leave the water running my mom gets mad at me and says I increase the water bill by $20
