Irish heritage month exists. Use google. Theres a Wikipedia page on it. So does asian american heritage month, and various other cultural appreciation days and months.

I believe NASA is celebrating hispanic heritage month - because it's helpful to the under represented - to see that there is a place from them in sectors of society involved in Astrophysics and Aerospace technology.
