Talking With Tom Baker - Doctor Who and Big Finish

During a studio recording session we managed to sit down and chat with the amazing Tom Baker. Tom tells us about his amazing battles with aliens, Daleks, Cybermen and Zygons all from the comfort of the Big Finish studio stool!
Tom also shares fond memories from his time as The Doctor as well as the people who worked along side him which he knew and loved.

Why hasn't Tom Baker been Knighted? Tom Baker is the face of England to the rest of the world, period. He is by far the best and most popular Doctor. It's not even close. So glad to have this living legend still here with us. Make it happen England!

On Nov. 23rd 2013 I was sitting in the Novotel at Birmingham Airport awaiting my wife's return from Tenerrife, watching the 50th Anniversary episode. I heard the first syllables of his speech and melted. Tom, you are a legend.

Tom Baker was my doctor and when he appeared as the curator just before the Dr. who handover from smith to capaldi, . i literally punched the air :)

I've played many original series stories for kids age 6 to 16 over the years and without exception, their favourite Doctor is Tom Baker. Got to love that man >.<

I was there when he was at the Excel in London! Just as amazing in real life as he is on the TV and in interviews!

You know the Curator from Day of the Doctor, said to #11 that he'll revisit old faces soon but just the old favorites. I keep seeing Tom returning as the Curator cutting his retirement short and travels again in the TARDIS with new companions. We would get to learn about why he retired (maybe he killed the master or something.) he is a grandfather figure to his companions but with that childish persona of the fourth doctor. Then he'll finally regenerate into a more younger body. If not in the TV show then maybe a comic or big finish audio adventure. I want to. Read and see the adventure while hearing the voices of Tom Baker.

He said many years ago that he never played The Doctor - he played himself and now he refers to the character as fictional!
