It can change the game for your hormone balance and your relationship with your body. When you understand how your body works and you can actively work *with* it instead of against it, it feels like magic.

I agree, running around and playing your cats is a fun form of minor cardio. It also makes sure that they stay fit and stimulated.

YES!!!! I’m so glad more influencers are talking about this!
And that you’re talking about it because you give so many concrete real world examples of what you’re eating and why. I’m not pro at dealing within my phases, but I’m getting better at it and I definitely feel better and more connected with myself and others when I’m more in line with my cycle.

Yes please a video on each phase would be great! Also have you ever talked in detail about your journey with Celiac disease? I'd love to hear more about your experience there and autoimmune diseases in general since I know you've struggled there!

This video was extremely helpful! I would LOVE to see you do a video surrounding each phase. It’s really crazy how we aren’t taught this in school when it very directly affects our quality of life. Thanks for putting this information out there. ❤️

Great video! To add to your point about your strength level being lower during the luteal phase; statistically speaking, there is an increased risk for injury during lifting due to hormones causing ligaments to be more lax. An example would be a torn ACL. Ouch!!

Definitely going to have to read those books - I have 2 teen girls that experience all of the period symptoms you listed - so I’ll have to look into helping them balance their hormones

in my luteal phase I almost always end up craving korean food (tons of sesame in it) or tahini dressing! I would crave this before I made the connection to seed cycling

I second the point that everyone (especially everyone with a uterus) should read those books!
I read them and even own The Period Repair Manual in 3 forms; it’s that good

THANK YOU FOR SAYING THIS. I’m so tired of everyone on the “flo” app in the little “secret chats” saying I’m abnormal for not having any negativity during my cycle. And I’m tired of feeling like I’m alone in this when other people say it’s normal to only feel good for one week out of your cycle. Like, everyone on TikTok and everywhere keeps saying “I only feel good for one week” and it’s made me feel like it doesn’t have to be that way.. more people should take care of themselves and figure out “why”.” I’m not trying to be rude to the people who have horrible cycles but I just felt so alone when I realized when I started taking care of myself, I rarely had PMS. But, other people keep complaining about “I only feel good for one week” and that’s just such a depressing mindset!

Hi Marisa 👋 I have been watching you for years! I feel a bit foolish because I am a young 46 year old following along in your journey. I still have regular periods but I know that menopause clock is coming for me lol. I workout 5-7 days a week alternating between heavy lifting and hitt training. 30-45 min sessions. Can you please help me I this next upcoming next phase in my life 🙏🏻🙏🏻
