Thanks so very much for a wonderful lecture. It was very informative and I really understood the questions and answers which were very informative. I would really like to understand what happened to me at the age of 13-14 where I was fullly conscious. Because it would take awhile to explain how I got to this state, I will make it short. I was fully conscious and walking when I saw an individual I had met a week before and I received a message in my mind about this person. Fast forward to the coming week of Aug, 1961. This person approached me and I got up from the chair I was sitting. This man was already walking away from me and I didn't want to loose touch with him so I got up to follow him. At that exact moment I blacked out and saw what I later learned may have been a scene from a past life. The man, Mr D., was in front of me in a beautiful red and gold head piece and matching cape. I was extending my arm to give him my hand. I noticed my extended arm was covered by a deep purple sleeve and I looked down to see what I was wearing. I was not out of my body, And it was a long purple dress. We walked out on a balcony where a crowd of abut 200 people in white short togas had both arms raised and were greeting us and waving I then came out of the experience. This experience years later, led me to Theosophy of which I have been a member the past 46 years and was an integral part of my metaphysical searches. I am so sorry to have rattled on, but I did want to portray what happened and to see your thoughts . Was I taping into the world wide consciousness that anyone can tape into? Also I am a student of astrology and learned there were definite aspects going on at that time. Thanks so very much I just wanted to share that experience with all of you and you don't have to reply, but it just may get others to remember things that may have happened to them. 10:41 I don't know what kind of materialism Bernardo is talking about but that is not what modern materialists think - the sea or star is not in your scull .. you have an approximation / non verbal description / model /concept of the sea or star that is in your scull that likely got there by seeing it with your eyes and being processed through your visual cortex and /or thinking and remembering the star, and your experience (what you mind sees) is an interaction with that non verbal description.

I find your questions about consciousness and the nature of reality interesting, but I'm surprised you haven't found the obvious answers given your background in computer science and your interest in theoretical physics. The obvious answers are inherent in the holographic principle of quantum gravity.
