In example one, its more like you are reducing the profits as well, if stocks go up then future will also and you will make a loss in futures and profit in stocks. So basically you are reducing the profit by the amount of loss at futures. But you can just invest less amount of money without hedging in futures, hence your loss will be only the money you are ready to lose.

One question.: Consider, I have an stock buyed for long term. To hedge that I buy a PUT option, so If the stock rises the put will fall.

There could be 2 situations : If the stock continues to rise, the PUT can zero out.
If the stock falls then the PUT continues to grow.

Now for both the situations I need small help.
1) If the put zero out, then shall we buy new and if yes which One ATM, OTM or ITM? does that depend on the current stock price?
2) If the PUT continues to grow and the contract ends, the we need to sell it and post that what Strike price PUT shall we buy again?

Please could you answer this deliberately, that would be helpful.
