There was a scene that was cut and edited from the Purifier’s death scene where he opens his shirt to show a glowing hand print. Riddick looks down and sees that he has a matching one as well. The backstory for this is that the handprints are called Wrath of the Furyans, and Furyans have the ability to transfer energy to each other. The speech during the death scene was a nod to the death of Roy Batty and the speech that he gave Rick Deckard in Blade Runner.

I actually already had this scene in a really old disc of mine when I was rewatching it on Netflix I noticed the scene was gone so I'm so flabbergasted they removed it

The directors cut is what they show on TV and is basically what everybody sees anyway.

It's on the directors cut. Makes more sense why he let the purified go. And there is another bada$@ deleted scene where Riddick expands the blue stuff from his body. The weapons of the bad guys. Forgot the name of their race. But it makes it better

Except that Riddick is human. The Furyan nonsense was created for the second film and was a total sell out by Twohy. Watch Pitch Black, it's the only true Riddick film.
