Amortisation means paying off an amount owed over time by making planned, incremental payments of principal and interest.

Amortization is so annoying. I invest and real estate and always say the interest is so cheap why not leverage to buy another property. I do think owning multiple properties can help build wealth through cash refinance because you get appreciation off multiple properties although the debt load increases. My plan is when I get older and want to down size I just sell off some real estate and buy something smaller cash. Amortization is not talked about enough and I bet this video will do great over time!

the interest is higher at the beginning because the debt is bigger

When my hubs and I build our new house, I am DEFINITELY printing this out for us so that he can see how much time we’re getting back when we pay extra on the mortgage!💪🏻🔥🔥🔥

Confused on how the principal concept works... 250k loan divded into 360 months would be 694 per month... your info of 333 per month principal according to a mortgage calculator is correct... I justdont understand the formula to get there...

If i get a 30 year amortization but each end of the year i give lets say 8k to the principal would that lower my years what would benefit me ??

This is why buying a house isn’t the best investment unless you have more down payment or have a home paid off. The interest amount you pay needs to be factored in on what it actually costs

What's the math behind amortization? How do they get this distribution?

It was very informative. However, I'm a visual learner, and while he was explaining, I needed to see the calculator, but he kept switching back to watching him speak. I think it would have been more effective just leaving the chart up while he spoke.

Is a 360 amorization the same as a 30 year conventional fixed?

Anyone else hear “amorturization” every time he says it? Lol

Great video! Although I must state, when speaking to the public it is important to speak slowly and clearly. The speaker in this video spoke way too fast...especially for those who may be making notes. Thank you.

If you are going to show the amortization schedule then you must show how you got the monthly payment. Just telling me does nothing. That is what I need to know. Please update your video to show how did you get the monthly payment of 1229.85

5:12 It is actually in *July* of *2033* that is the first month where principle payments first begin to surpass interest payments. Not in August, according to your chart.
