The retro concept is stunning. Today’s auto designs are uninteresting and uninspired. Audi’s new eTron is boring, most family SUV’s and sedans all look exactly the same - with most manufacturers copying Audi, BMW and Mercedes. This Peugeot is art, it’s gorgeous and unexpected. If more manufacturers adopted a retro design language similar to this, it would significantly enhance the visual environment of our roadways. I also think the retro look harkens back to a time when mankind was hopeful about the future - in today’s political environment and globalized economy, I’ll take all the idealization I can get, even if it comes through auto design.

Retro designs are most unique and obscure . But when combined with new technologies and materials the results are rewarding.
Asthetically retro looking styles are the first breath that the Auto companies built their platforms on. So yes i do respect equally what might seem awkwardly looking post retro modernism.

I think this concept pays a very nice hommage to the 504 coupe, which was designed by Pininfarina (they had a long history with Peugeot). This concept is beautiful and works very well as it is proportionned like a production car. Do it, Peugeot!

MUSTANG OWNER: I love it! Sorry for the USA brands but this time a european brand made every "muscle car" fans dream true. You put that body with a V8 and handling ability and I would buy that over a Mustang any given day!

Great concept that needs to become reality. I think Peugeot can make this happen, and hopefully keep all the good design ideas intact for the production car.
Peugeot is saying cars need not look like futuristic pod exercises like some automakers' are doing today but be interesting and characterful and still be functional.
