I reside in Ohio. I had a petty theft record sealed 25 years ago. Recently, I apply for a job at a senior citizen facility. They ran a background check on me, the record showed up. The employer could see it plain as day. I researched, discovered any jobs dealing with the elderly or children, ie schools, can see sealed records. Really, what’s the point of getting my record sealed if prospective employees can see it? I was frustrated.
