Can Faker Win Worlds?

Worlds 2024’s main event begins next week. Faker and T1 are reigning world champions – but after barely qualifying by the skin of their teeth, can they defend their title?

The load on Fakers shoulders is stupid huuuuge, imagine his own internal stress wanting to keep his legacy going. I believe T1 will show up for real again, but if they dont, i cant even blame them and i wont care. I dont think Faker as a player will be surpassed as THE goat, ever. He is an (human) anomoly, he is THE (human) anomoly.

T1 barely qualified last year too. Having bruteforced the same strategy to qualify, then showed up at worlds with a new strategy and meta at every stage and ultimately (almost) winning a dominant Worlds run. I believe that's part of their strategy.

Unfortunately they will run into the same roadblock this year as last year as they'll ultimately lose in the finals vs Linkin Park. Our 2023 World Championship winners, with their new Star Midlaner Emily Armstrong.

At some point, I think RISE MV is a story that fits his whole career very well, won 4 worlds yet it won't be enough because Players will continue to grow and improve. It's been rough for them srsly, DDOS is still on going and the pressure is so huge. The favourites are not them but you know, T1 is T1 and I don't think Faker needs to constantly prove himself.

Whether T1 and Faker becomes the winner of this worlds, it doesn't really matter. Faker is already a brand himself, even without League of Legends he would still be Faker. He doesn't have to prove anything anymore, his stats and trophies already speak for themselves. Only small minded people wilk question his legacy, and only haters will dispute Faker being called "The Goat" because even if he is no longer the best player now, he paved the way, his gameplay was watched, studied by a lot of pro gamers now, so yeah respect the name Faker because he will always be The Eternal Goat, and he will always be the Greatest League of Legends player of all time. A lot of rising pro gamers now look up to Faker even Chovy, he even said that Faker was his idol and he always watch his scrims.

The answer is yes and period. The greatest way to describe Faker and T1 is simply “they have that dog in them.” You know they want to win, you know they are not scared of anyone, you know they are willing to rebuild to get to the top.

Will they? Depends on many factors, but yes, absolutely they can.

This is his 11th year since debuting. He has appeared in nine Worlds competitions and won four times. However, he did not get the MV, which depicts his life story. Ambition and Deft, who beat Faker to become the main character and get his own song. Winning the title in seven years, Faker is being treated like the ultimate boss again, not being the main character.
How can he get his own song.. RIOT has made this opportunity the worst. No problem with song. MV is just the problem.
