I have a feeling we will look back at this time as one where things quite dramatically changed in research and academia. Yes, there are problems with large language models (LLMs), but also tremendous opportunities if we use this technology right. What do you think?

Very nice and useful video. As a researcher in machine learning and economics I use chatGPT to get an initial grasp of a certain literature (which are the gaps and so on), to get an hint about very known algorithms and to check my code if it's not too complicated. There are a lot of shortcomings though (e.g. sometimes it can "force" your ideas enlarging the confirmation bias or generate code that does not work)

It has emmense uses for a researcher, as you have mentioned here. Btw I was asking it to calculate the density of a solution (NaCl and ZnCl2) and it gave me a wrong answer, irrespective of how many times I tried . It is sometimes funny too 🤣.

Would you be able to provide concrete examples for how you have used ChatGPT for these workflow items? What I mean is, examples as to what you type into the query box, and how you use the output.

No doubt, the usage of chatgpt will be beneficial for interpreting the results of research because our interpretations about research rely on the knowledge that we have and/or we can access. Therefore, questions that we ask ourselves when we discuss any results of our experiments can be answered by chatgpt.
Of course, it will be improved but at least right now, it can give some misleading information such as answer of below question:
what are the names of article which aim to investigate interaction of Piriformospora indica inoculation against boron toxicity.
Articles that were shared by chatgpt as an answer to the above question actually didn't exist.
