Thank you for these tips! I just yot a used camera for an amazing price, I just couldnt pass that opportunity.
I can only shoot 4 images per second with it, but that piece of advice was great. I will use it nonetheless instead of missing opportunities.

I love the bonus tip number 8: have fun!

I'm recovering from a spinal cord injury sustained riding downhill mountain bikes. Before my accident I rode at a expert level as well as surfed at a high level. I'd like to get into sports photography since I've been an amateur interior and product photographer for a couple years. My goals are to stoke out my friends with great images of them, continue being in the places I love like the mountains and beaches, but most of all I want to spread a message to fellow mountain bikers about safety. Do you have any tips on how to start sharing images and my message? Tips like platforms or organizations? Also any tips on how to share the message without sounding like a know-it-all? I realize that is something I might have to figure out on my own, but to be honest I'm not even sure if as a photographer you get the opportunity to spread your message. Is that something you've had the opportunity to do?
