This bas been incredibly helpful. I just brought home my dream dog; a doberman pinscher. She is a little over a year old, wasn't properly trained for the first year of her life, and needs leash work/socialization and confidence work. I'm so excited to be working with her using your guides.

This is how i establish aggressive dogs.

Aggresion is uncalled for, sudden or with no fear.
Aggressive is when you dont expect it or unreasonably done.

Reactive is GET AWAY, I WILL DEFEND MYSELF IM SCARED GO GO GO, they aren't going to react until the trigger is within range to make them scared.

An example of a reactive dog is they see a dog and they lunge look mean bark ext everything under the sun! They are scared a normal dog reaction to a reactive dog is submission and avoidance from a distance! Like wolfs they turn and run from fights! A reactive dog, doesn't want a fight.

And aggressive dog may be fine, may have no issues until BAM they bite, or the dog didnt do something they wanted them to do. An aggressive dog will growl it wont have fear, alot of small dogs are aggressive not reactive why? Because realistically they know that large dog is bigger then them, but they are aggressive so they try to attack them, they dont have fear until the big dog turns on them!

Aggressive is lack of fear, a dog not trying to get away, a dog not being loud or trying to do shit, a reactive dog may nip but will never actually cause harm unless they are being harmed and could turn around and be friendly when the other dog is friendly!

And aggressive dog may be friendly at first then be aggressive, may be unreasonable or growl, an aggressive dog will always never actually be friendly, an aggressive dog is just that, they want to fight or hurt.

Id say 90% of dogs are scared not aggressive.

The only bad dogs, are ones that refuse to listen to reason, and a bad dog can be good too.

It took a fellow dog owner telling me my dog is a good dog, shes not a good dog all the time, but she is a good dog. Their dog? Also a good dog, not all the time, but still good! My dog and their dog gets along super well a couple shuffles yeah, but hes an old grumpy man that just occasionally has an issue that is controlled.

Hes not aggressive its fully just a correction never really actually hurting my dog, my dog knows this because she fucking loves that guy...old men period actually.

But thats howbi usually class aggression vrs reactive.

In all, if you dont want to read, a dog thats freaking out most likely is scared, a dog without fear is an aggressive dog, a dog barking or lunging freaking out ext is not likely to be an aggressive dog.

What about excited reactive? Loses her brain when she sees a dog, but it's because she wants to play. 1.5 yr old RFL.
