My 2.5 year old wheaten terrier has been attacked by off lead dogs on two separate occasions. He is now very reactive and so stressed on walks, it breaks my heart. You are completely right, he doesn’t see me as a leader anymore as I couldn’t protect him 😔 I hope we can improve our relationship by using your videos which i think will help him so much! Thank you

I'm currently experiencing owning my first puppy as an adult, and your videos really keep me at my best when it comes to training. I just had a month where I got complacent, and your teenage phase videos are very very helpful. Thank you so much.

I love your videos. I have an abused teenager. Great at loose lead walking now but still reactive to dogs. I’m now working on this! He waits to eat until I give him permission. He lives with two good dogs to learn from as well. I have an energy sensitive German shepherd, as I’m high vibrational she guards off other people AND dogs who send off negative energy… no one covers this might I add!!!! She’s excellent at loose lead waking and everything else.

Yeah brotha. I'm always working on this. I feel it's an everyday practice and reinforcement tool that strengthens the bond and trust. You're the man!

It's all for likes and shares, I reached out last year as we needed help with our bully cross and and they replied was buy the training courses as we was told that they don't help owners in trouble shame it wasn't about money as I was willing to pay it was about keeping our dog alive so many thanks

Feel like you should give two examples for how on each of the three steps.

My English bulldog used to be perfect with other dogs we used to take trips to the dog park weekly. She was attacked by a dog in our yard and hasn’t been the same since. She doesn’t actively attack other dogs but she screams and tries to dominate other dogs until it becomes a fight. I can’t take her with me anywhere anymore without other people bashing me in public for the muzzle and screaming.

I used CARE protocol for my dog's reactivity. It's basically counter conditioning and desensitisation. No "leadership" needed, just conditioning emotional responses.

You can't use operant conditioning to fix reactivity, classical conditioning is what you need (conditioning a positive emotional response).

But can you do it with my Patterdale, a behaviorist and 3 dog trainers couldn't. They all just ended the time by saying "he is a Patterdale"

Hello, thank you so much for your videos! I was wondering if there is a way to reach out to you about my dog? He's a lovely dog 95% of the time, but sometimes has unpredictable bursts of aggression where he'll bite with very little to no warning. This thankfully hasn't happened outside the house yet, but seems to be getting more frequent with my dad at home and we're obviously very concerned about it. I'm yet to be able to find a video online of a dog displaying behaviour quite like his. Thank you so much for your time in making these videos!

I have a former fighting dog who doesn't show any reactivity until she is right next to another dog, which is when she will grab them by the throat. How can I get her to where she won't do that, and she can be around other dogs without fighting?

I did my best to expose my mini dachshund to lots of things as early as possible. She was doing really well until we went to a park and a huge Burmese mountain dog came charging at her off leash. Now she is afraid of all medium and large dogs and will run at them/bark her head off as a form of self defence 😢

I want to have this control with my dog - he’s reactive when he sees dogs esp in the distance, and very very reactive when he can tell someone walking by is nervous of him. But I’d like to have him be able to have that reactive behavior if say, I too, feel uncontrollable or nervous about the person walking by. Unusual circumstance, but he’s here for protection too. Where that scenario doesn’t come up often, is that confusing and disrupting the work done in breaking that reactive behavior?
