Nightmare Mode is like Dark Sonic. While it's a huge powerup, it's one that runs on the person in question being in a very bad emotional state(Genocide Run Sans, Cuphead accidentally killing his brother) and that interacting with the weird dimensional tear going on. So, while NMM Sans would destroy, say, Dream in a fight, Nightmare is effectively feeding on NMM throughout the whole fight, meaning he'd have to be ridiculously outclassed to not win, if only through attrition, which seems to be how this played out.

Besides that the power scaling aspect. Holy fuck this was a massive step up, like Jesus I can’t imagine how long this took. I mean the back is a bit inconsistent and static and some of the zoom shots are kinda weird but still though, from a technical stand point this is easily the most best video to date, I still prefer some of your older works but this one is by far the most visually interesting one
