Mangalore is very clean and green throughout the year. It's wonderful. Summer's can be hot. AC is a must nowadays.
Being a mumbaikar I still love mangalore for it's cleanliness and greenery.

We call it shemige in tulu. Either we eat with coconut milk added jagger called "shemige per"
Or with chicken or mutton curry
