i installed one on my 15 chieftain and it is awesome!! the gen 3 more mpg, throttle response better, and sounds better with my rhinehart pipes. money well spent . pulls like a freight train!

Does the manual that comes with it explain how you want this set up for what you have? Like let's say I buy it because I get a full yoshimura r77 exhaust, will it tell me what I want each light set at? And then if I later add on like a k&n filter it will explain what settings it will need then?

I have fmf full exhaust including megabomb header and a k&n intake and I cut the top of my air box to get more air flow coming in. I'm trying to figure what the best settings would be?

I wasn't aware they will set it up for your bike before they ship it. It would have been nice if they would have asked me.. What are 'base settings'?

Matt,
The EJK comes preprogrammed for Stage 1 modifications so the settings right out of the box will work well for a large # of combinations of intake and exhaust upgrades. You can find these recommended settings on our website www.electronicjetkit.com. Locate your vehicle under products and click view info; the settings will be on that page.

If you want to dial in your bike and know exactly how it is running, I recommend renting or purchasing our SAFR Diagnostic Tool. It is a Standalone Air/Fuel Ratio (SAFR) gauge that provides you a real-time readout of your AFR values. Adjust your fuel controller until you see the proper AFR values on the gauge. What setting adds fuel to idle? My header pipe glows slightly after 1min. Then after it warms up it stops glowing.
