Another tip is that most of the time you want a crit rate circlet > crit damage circlet like 80-180 is wayy better than 50-240 since you Crit consistently. (Just an example)

A somewhat important thing with a Crit DPS is the 1:2 crit ratio. It's fine to trade some crit rate for an equivalent amount (twice as much) of crit damage if you can for the ratio. It's more average damage that way. For example a 60/120 will outperform a 70/100.

But that's just the math. I don't follow it with my Neuvi cuz big number make monke brain happy (and cuz I don't farm enough to have good gear).

The problem with Crit is that a lot of people ignore their energy recharge and if your character doesn’t want to burst or only every other rotation (or you don’t need er for that team) then that doesn’t matter but if your characters burst is actually good then you would be way better of with 20 ER more than 10 Crit Damage less

"70%-85% is perfect" thank goodness you clarified that since that kind of crit rate stat is only attainable through sheer dedication. Try 60% Crit Rate and 130% crit damage as a baseline, anything higher than 60-130 is M O I S T

For my Lyney, I used to have a critrate circlet on him since there was no Crit Damage and Crit damage sub-stat I could use.

It was a 31.1% Crit rate (main stat) and 27.2% critdmg (substat). I changed to a critdmg circlet with a 62.2%critdmg (main stat) and a 15.6% critrate (sub stat).

Though my crit rate is pretty low, it does a hell tone of damage. So it depends. (His current stats are 43.4% crit rate and 225.05 crit damage)

Actually, I think energy recharge is sometimes more important than the character's scaling stat, but this depends on the character. For example when you build Xiangling it is more important that her artifacts have energy recharge than atk, because you usually can get that from other supports like Bennett.

No one generally needs this much crit rate. About 55% is more than enough for non-cryo characters.
