Reverse & Dome Lamp Dual Function 2003-2007 GM Tow Mirrors

This video details how to get the white rear facing light to dual function as reverse and dome or reverse and cargo. 2007.5+ trucks generally already function the way customers want (illuminate when the truck is unlocked with the key fob).

For 2014+ trucks getting the lights to function as cargo and reverse is very simple. Please reference a separate Boost Auto Parts video.

Looking through the comments I'm glad I'm not the only one with somewhat the same questions. I am a full time aftermarket component installer and have numerous LS - swaps under my belt. My question is Where are you suggesting to tap or wire in for the reverse light input? It's not mentioned in the video.

2nd Question, I have an idea how to run the wiring for the mirrors so this won't really apply to me but It would be helpful and for you're customers, but You guys should show how to run the wiring inside the truck because the instruction video completely ignores one of the most important steps of how to install these mirrors properly. The comment section has a bunch of people asking how to run the wires. Thanks for your time.

My truck has factory puddle lights. Can I wire this to my puddle light wire instead of them coming on with my dome lights when I manually turn them on, That way they function just like the factory puddle lights?

I don’t know if you will see this but I have a question. I ran the power cable to the trailer reverse fuse. Now when I turn on my fog lights the reverse lights on the tow mirrors turn on. What am I missing?

Which wire in the harness is hot with the cargo lights turned on? I would like the spot lights in the mirrors to come on when the cargo light is on instead of when the dome light is on. Thanks.

Hi boost auto i ordered the module for my mirrors and the lights stay on while I am driving and there is no dome light on they turn on with the running light but I tapped in to the grey with black wire

Okey so my dome lights come on every time I go in reverse but the high out puts lights come on as well and when I flick my rocker panel up for my dome light lo my domes come on and not my rear mirror lights and when I unlock my truck the lights do not come on ?

Is the trucks windows tinted? It seems that the high output is bright on the outside but not from in cab. Asking because I am thinking about purchases these mirrors for the reverse lights for my tinted windows

You mentioned that the 2007 - 2014 should already be wired to accomadate the dual function for dome and reverse lighting function on the LED lights in the mirror, so where actually do i tie in to that? in the fuse box under the hood or is there a place in the cab fuse panel or somewhere else?
