Nationwide tree planting initiative launched

The government has moved in to consolidate all wildlife data under one source in a bid to improve conservation efforts across the country. The Wildlife Research and Training Institute (WRTI) will undertake the exercise at a time when tens of wild animals have been wiped out by the ravaging drought. Principal Secretary for Wildlife, Silvia Museiya and senior government officers toured the Naivasha based institute on a fact finding mission and a tree planting exercise.
