Our 'Flying Nurses' project in Ethiopia

What would you do if the nearest doctor was hundreds of miles away? What if you need medical advice but don't know where to get contraceptives, for example?
This is a common problem in Ethiopia, which is why we have trained local Flying Nurses.
They go where no one else goes.
When there are no vehicles available, they sometimes travel on foot to the most remote areas to help young women with their health problems and family planning. Metasebia Tesfaye, the head nurse of the Flying Nurses, tells us in our video what their day-to-day life is like.
The Flying Nurses are part of the Youth Friendly Clinics project, which DSW has been implementing in Ethiopia since March 2022.
