These days, Hellcats seem to get most of the love for being supercharged, but not everyone can afford one. So for everyone who's on a tighter budget but still wants some boosted action, here are the 5 cheapest American cars with superchargers stock.

I have a '98 Pontiac Bonneville SSEi ... supercharged with 240 hp. Fully loaded interior. I love it to death.

Nice list. Completely forgot about that STS! Would be a fun project car these days 🤔....also, I would swap the cobalt on the list for a 2005 Chevy Monte Carlo SS Supercharged. Then swap the Riviera for a 98-04 Buick Regal GS Supercharged. I owned that car and it was so bulletproof. Those 3.8 motors are very strong and non problematic.

08-10 Cobalt SS was turbo, different engine, different brakes, etc. 260/260 stock. I owned an 08 and it was a damn fun little go cart.

In 06 & 07 there was no GTP Badging. Pontiac only made the base, the GT and the GXP. But the GT was basically what a GTP was. It was Supercharged and had all the bells & whistles. I still own an 06 GT and its treated me very good for over a decade.

2000-2005 monte carlo ss supercharged as well they make 240hp stock.... Their also a couple of cool special editions that just simply look fye as hell

The GM 3800 Series II was no joke, I had a 00 GTP and it was an awesome car especially with mods

The cobalt SS only had a super charge till 07 then 08+ got turbo chargers and those are the ones you want

I have an 05 impala ss and the pictures don’t do it justice in person they look really good and sound amazing with an intake without you can’t hear anything

Get a Grand prix GTP head over to ZZP bump that HP up to 300 whp or 400whp or more if want. Get some headers, exhaust, CAI, tune, intercooler, run 93 octane, drop that pulley down to a 3.0 on the supercharger and let it go. You will have a quick car that is fast and light weight.

Best part is insurance is cheap and no one will expect you to run 5 second 0-60.

Ive owned a 2005 Grand prix GT and a 2006 supercharged Grand Prix GTP. Ive also owned several BMWs (2003 Z4 3.0i and 2016 M3) and if im being honest, my GTP was probably my favorite car that ive ever owned. Super reliable and suprisingly fast for a cheaper car.

Bought a 1997 4.6L V8 mercury cougar for $1.7k. Then found a used 04 cobra supercharger for $200. Am going to get a conversion kit slap everything together $2.6k. Know that there is gonna be a lot more to the build but so far im less than $5k into it. 🤙

I had a '91Thunderbird Super Coupe was a 5spd. with pulley & lil’weight reduction only.. they're very comfortable rides and would embarrass stock gt's at the time! It run a 13.2 @101 in the 1/4!

05 - 07 Cobalt SS was Supercharged
The 08 - 10 Cobalt SS is turbocharged and the more desirable one

6th gen zl1 was going for mid 20s to low 30 back in 2019 and early 2020 I remember because i was shopping for one at the time crazy to see they’re at mid 40s now
